My 68 pound pitbull destroyed a bottle of naproxen. She probably ingested 4-500 mg tablets late Friday night. She started vomiting late saturday morning, vomited sunday, and I took her to the vets monday afternoon (after I discovered the destroyed empty bottle). Her blood tests came back clean (no signs of damage) and she was prescribed sucralfate every 12 hours to help prevent stomach ulcers and further damage. The vet did not give and nausea medicine because she did want want to mix it with the naproxen. She is still vomiting, and I was wondering how long the naproxen will stay in her system, and if there is anything to give her that would be easy on her stomach.

Little amounts though and if she keeps it down a little more. Having an empty stomach is probably not helping her at the moment. Hope she… Read more »
