We were.minding a budgie for a friend for 3 weeks. A week before he was going back home we bought a baby budgie for my son. The day the bird we were minding was due to go home he died. A week later the baby budgie also died. These 2 birds never met they were in diffrent cages in diffrent rooms. Now our fish has died also a few days later. Could it be toxins in the house we not long moved in.

Shaylee, I’m so sorry for all your losses. While I think it could be a toxin, I don’t know if that would be the most likely cause. That said, birds are much more sensitive to toxins in the air than people are which is why miners used to bring canaries down into the mines with them to serve as a kind of early warning system. Have you mentioned this to your vet?  He may have a better idea about possible causes, but it may be difficult to determine without having necropsies performed on them.
