I have 3 cats…2 of which are very food crazy. They are fed on a relatively routine schedule but they still act like they’ve NEVER eaten. I feed them 2 times a day (can in the am and dry in the evening). Anyone have recommendations?

I am in the camp with the other responses – improve the food.  However, I recommend to try feeding them a raw diet.  That is raw meat and bones.  Many cats (and dogs) do so much better on a more natural (biologically appropriate) diet.  Better nutrition, and many find it very satisfying to crunch up those raw (never cooked!) bones. Chicken wings, sardines (find them frozen in the seafood section of your grocer), soft pouched eggs, etc.  There are tons of websites and yahoo groups out there to help you learn the ins & outs of a raw diet for… Read more »

I would check the ingredients in the cat food, make sure it’s not full of a lot of junk and fillers and it has actual real ingredients.  Using a higher end food will keep them fuller longer and be more satisfying to them.  And you won’t go thru as much.  We use Iams for our 15 yr old cat and it definitely makes a difference and it is also more healthy.
